Reno-Tahoe businesses send a LOT of perfectly compostable stuff to landfills. In some cases, up to 35% of solid waste is organic material–everything from restaurant food scraps to yard trimmings–which could be recycled through composting. We’re here to help your business, institution or organization benefit by doing just that.

Full Circle’s green waste diversion can help your business cut costs, appeal to consumers, gain competitive advantages against rivals and, ultimately, capitalize off of “going green.”

Does My Business Produce Green Waste? Probably!

The rule of our large-scale green thumb is this: if stuff is made out of something that used to be alive, we can probably take it and transform it into rich, ultra-productive compost.

For many businesses, that’s a lot of stuff. Such as …

Commercial Load Partnerships and Green Marketing

A number of businesses (including the University of Nevada, Whole Foods Reno, Atlantis Casino, Walmart, Costco, Odwalla, Aramark, and Embassy Suites) have partnered with Full Circle to divert a majority of their food, produce and organic waste streams to our composting facility. It has helped them move up the socially and “environmentally sustainable” ladder, leading customers to view their brands as dedicated to local, regional and socially responsible causes.

As “green marketing” continues growing increasingly more beneficial to businesses (including Wal-Mart), securing a local green waste diversion program provides a path, not just to better sustainability, but also marketing success.

In the Pines

Pine needles sure look pretty up in the trees, but they have a habit of falling down, drying up, littering the ground and becoming fire hazards. Clean up can be costly and troublesome for large properties, like golf courses, hotels, and schools. But fear not; Full Circle can compost them … in a big way! In fact, our last load was 14,000 garbage bags full.

Recycling Non-native Species: “Full-Circle” for Reno-Tahoe

Dozens of species of invasive plants have made their way into the Lake Tahoe Basin, Carson Valley,Truckee Meadows and beyond. While most protocols aim to eradicate them, Full Circle actually has the capacity to recycle non-native plants, break them down, and turn them into beyond organic compost products that get used to revegetate recovering areas!

See? There’s a reason we call ourselves Full Circle!
